Need Peerless 810A Trany for AC 611LTD

Just purchased an AC 611 LTD in great running condition, except trany. This is our (me and my son's) first tractor project. We pulled off the rear end to get the part number for the trany. Any suggestions where to get this part? Has anyone ever expanded from 5-speed to Hydro? Any tips to make this project easier?;)

Check Ebay...There was one on there a couple days ago... Those 5 speed 810 series seem like they had problems with the shift keys..If it was me I would probably pull it apart and rebuild the one in it if you plan to keep the tractor...I have read that they are not to hard to work on.If your lucky and all the gears are good you can replace the keys for just a few dollars each...I think the 810A has 4 shift keys and the 810 just has 2 keys..

I may have a replacement trans for you...Is the drive pulley on that one vertical or horizontal?

It's a horizontal pully on top of the trany. We are going to tear the old trany open to see if we can fix it. Wish us luck.
