tj13 Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 will a snowblower attachment for an "older" b-110 fit a sovereign of 94 or 96 vintage ? thanks for the help i am still trying to sort all this "new stuff".
UCD Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Yes with the correct hitch and changing the driven pulley.
Kent Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 The main body of the snowblower would work -- but you'd need a different hitch setup. The newer tractors drove the snowblower off the center PTO instead of the front PTO. See this info: http://www.simpletractors.com/do_it/snowthrower_hitch.htm
SmilinSam Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 The one problem with the blower bodies on the older ones is that the hood welded over the drive pulley that has the hitch points on it is not as deep as the ones for the 1972 and newer tractors. I don't think there is room to put a factory pulley the corect size for the newer tractors on an older blower. You would have to use a slightly smaller pulley. I cant remember what size I had to use when I tried this sort of thing myself.
