wpr 0 Posted May 25, 2005 I have a leaking seal on the left had side of the axle tube. Two seals later and after a lot of troubleshooting of the problem using methods from this forum, I am convinced that there must some wear on the tube though there is no deep grooving. I am looking at the Speedi Sleeve option. Can someone who had done this give your thoughts on the outcome? How well does the sleeve hold up? I have heard mixed reviews from people who have used them in other(non-tractor) applications. Additionally if anyone put a speedi sleeve on the axle tube of a Simplicity 725 or related tractor, which one did you use(size or mfg#)? Thanks, Wade
B.Ikard 2 Posted May 25, 2005 Hello, Speedy sleeves work better or equal to the original shaft-most I have put in were stainless. Any "good" bearing supply house can give you a speedy sleeve part # with the OD of the shaft. Ike
