Looking at a newer B&S 12.5 verticle model 289707 to replace my 11 HP B&S model 253707 in my 4211H. Will it fit? Thanks in advance Mike

If it is an "L" head you shold be OK and it will slip right in. I assume the shaft dimensions are like for like. The only item you might wire for is the carb solenoid.

10-12.5 are defenitely all the same series and configuration.Tecumseh will also fit right in.
