DougN Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Has anyone had a problem with an AC B207 or B208 becoming real jerky when releasing the clutch; to the point where it actually pops a little wheelie. I suspect the secondary drive belt (inputs to transaxle) is worn out and needs to be replaced. I hope it is that and not in the transaxle. Also, the idle tension pulley for this belt seems to be quite sloppy on its shaft. It may have contributed to early wear on this belt as it appears very worn on one side. Is there any easy fix for this? Would appreciate any help or input on similar experiences.
Simplicity314 Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Hi Doug, and welcome. Make sure fasteners are tight and bushings are ok on the pulleys in question. Also make sure the spring is okay. This is what is probably causing the clutch to pop--the belt is sloppy then it grabs at a certain point, causing the wheelie. I'd deal with the tensiner setup first.
dhardin Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 I had a similer problem, make shure you have the belt gard on that covers the output pulley of the BGB. Also you may have a durty or stuck split pully. Good luck and welcome to the Club.
