Per the Engine Reference it is a Type 0129-01 http://www.simpletractors.com/parts/engine/landlord.htm Is that what you meant?

Kent, I have been to two different briggs distributors and when I give them the 23D for my model# they tell me that # is not good and they need a 6 digit Model#

JimH... IMO, that's Briggs dealers who don't realize that OLD engines didn't have 6-digit model numbers. In the cast-iron L-heads, only the 10HP and later engines had 6-digit numbers. The ones older than that did not.... This link documents the models and production dates of the "non 6-digit" models... http://www.edgeta.org/tekdata.htm
