Randyny 0 Posted June 1, 2005 Funny, after rallying behind my Kohler motor in another post, I now get no spark while cranking. Take plug out and crank - no spark. Turn key from run to off - I get a spark. Tells me the coil & condensor are fine. I'm going to tinker around, probably a bad onnection somewhere. Can anyone shed some light on this problem? tillerman 0 Posted June 1, 2005 Sounds like a bad switch.
powerking_one 0 Posted June 1, 2005 I would get out the DVM (digital volt-ohm meter) and start troubleshooting it. Tom(PK)
Randyny 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Five minutes of troubleshooting revealed some moisture on the points. Makes sense based on the symptoms. Beware of the power washer....
HubbardRA 19 Posted June 3, 2005 Make sure the ignition is connected to the ignition terminal and not the accessory terminal. The ignition terminal stays on in start position. Accessory terminal is cut off in start position, but is energized in the on position.
