Guest Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Hi, I just learned how important it is to engage the clips on your rear pins "ALL the way". I just mounted my Mold Plow on my tractor and did not put the clips all the way through my "old style sleeve hitch". Well I lost one tonight while plowing and I bent my sleeve hitch. Fortunately, I had two and I'm back in biz for tonight. I was planning on cutting the second one to fit Brinly implements; I'm going to have to find an anvil before I go and do that! So the moral is, put your clips all the way threw! Note: I lost a pin and clip on my grader blade earlier and I wasn't wise enough after that! I am sure if I didn't catch this early, I'd had a problem with my grader blade mount too!
IronPony Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Attention to details always keeps me smiling. Thanks for the reminder, Mike!!
PeppyDan Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I put my pins in from the inside so that if they rotate, they will not push the pins out or bend them. I have had more than one set bent because of the pin rotating. Dan
Guest Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 (Thanks all) PeppyDan, nice job on the 48" deck you are selling. If I didn't have so many decks and the distance, I'd buy it! The work it takes to fix those up is worth it to buy it restored at that price. quote:Originally posted by PeppyDan I put my pins in from the inside so that if they rotate, they will not push the pins out or bend them.
