Powermax PTO

Hello all, I have another item to fix on my powermax now that I finally found a mower deck for it. I can wiggle the front PTO pulley some, so I figured there must be a worn out bearing or something that should be fixed before running the mower. I have not taken the clutch off yet, but I did get to see one apart last night. I thought it was a roller type bearing, but what I saw was a bronze (?) bushing. Off the parts book, the number I see is 177960 - is this correct? Jack's lists this part for a hair under $60 and the dealer wants at least a million. Even $60 seems kind of steep for a bushing. There was some discussion on this before, but I am having trouble finding it so I am sorry for bringing it up again. Thanks for your help.

Swede, 177960 is a roller bearing for the clutch. There should be no bronze bushing in the clutch. If there is it is a modification of some sort. The bearing does fit over a thin metal sleeve that is part of the rotor but it is not a bearing type. There is also a 1663355 bearing used on some models that has a wider inner race than the outer race. The races on the 177960 are the same width. You will need to take yours apart to see which one you need.

Part # 6207X40MM 2RS matches 177960 which is also used for the front & rear PTO. Sorry, I not familiar with the other number. Maybe it's Simplicity's new part number for the same bearing?
