Clutch Pedal Guard for 210 Sickle Bar

Recommended Posts

That article was quite a while ago. I can't locate it either. I meant to print a copy myself, since I also have a 210. The disk is to prevent the mower from fouling the clutch lever if you go over a large mound that pushes the mower upward against the tractor. It will hit the disk, but since the disk is round, you can still push in the clutch. The disk will slide on the mower as it rotates. The disk is only for safety, to prevent an accident.

Thanks Rod, that makes perfect sense. I have noticed the unit rising up and pushing at my foot and realized, had my foot been in a different position, it could have been squished. I’d been looking at the figures in the operator’s manual and it looked to me like the guard attached to the lift lever – that didn’t make any sense as the lift lever isn’t used with the sickle bar and the name infers it belongs with the clutch pedal and not the lift lever! Thanks for the clarification, and if you do come across that post I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know. John
