Belt size for converted 42" deck

I have taken steps toward converting the 42" deck on my B210 with single groove pulley. I also changed the PTO Pulley to match. Has anyone done this and if so what size belt did you end up using? Was it better to get a regular black belt or the new gray/green agri belt? Thanks for any help. Mike

I can't qoute to you the size belt but if your useing oem pulleys then the manuals should show the belt buy application for the width of the deck 42"/48"

Since I swapped out the original double pulleys for a single groove pulley I'm thinking the length changed. Before I go buying 3-4 belts in close sizes (then having to return 2-3 of them) I was hoping someone could tell me what they found. I know some folks have made this mod change in the past.

The correct belt on an original B-210, B-212 was not 2 belts but one double V belt Part# 168171 for the 42" deck and Part# 108854 for the 48" deck. Again if you converted to the OEM single belt drive pulleys the Part# for the single belt is 174364 for the 42" deck and Part# 166172 for the 48" deck. These belts run with a twist in them so a word to the wise would be to buy a Simplicity OEM belt.

Thanks, I meant double V belt not double groove pulley. I did not know there was a OEM single belt drive. I'm sure I didnt put the OEM single belt pulley on but used a same diameter pulley as the double V belt. Thanks for the belt part numbers I'll start from there. Mike
