Mack Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Don't think I'd want a generator on the hood but the pump on the back might be an interesting project with the way my basement leaks! Kent Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Why not just a pulley driven pump running off the BGB, instead of a generator on the front driving an electric motor on the back? That JD paint job doesn't do much for me either... ;)
Chris727 Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Looks like it really got a hack job. Both hood and dash were ruined to accept some huge battery. Too bad he didn't ruin a deere instead!
ridgerunner Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Maybe he thought the stock head light brackets and lights were just too expensive and hard to find, so mounted up the ol' generator and threw on a 115volt flood light. Then was ashamed of what he'd done so he painted it to resemble a Deer so no one at a glance would accuse him of ruining such a classic tractor.

BrianP Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 There have been times I wished for 110 out at the edge of our 4 acres to use hedge trimmers or such, but I'd have mounted the generator to the rear hitch using a custom platform and run it off the BGB as another member sugessted. If I needed a pump it could mount on the back also. That paint job only makes me want to "blow lunch". Two thumbs down on the whole execution. Brian
SimpleMan Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 One can only hope that a diehard I buy only the 'green line' purchases it, and finds out what a real tractor is. :D;) Gord
