New tractor hauler I got my new trailer I had made this afternoon. It is a Tandem axle 6.5'x 14' with folding loading gate all aluminum. should be able to haul 4 mabe 5 tractors. I sold my Single axle trailer to Jim McDonald in CT. user name Jim. I was hoping to have the trailer in time to go to Marion Ohio but I still can not go as Ann Marie can't take her vacation time then. I do plan on being at the Orange mass show the folowing weekend june 25th & 26th.

That's one sweet trailer. Just two questions, how much lighter is it than a steel one? And how many recycled beer cans does it take to build a trailer like that?:p -Paul

I would say it weighs between 850 & 900 lbs. I plan on pulling it with both the car and camper. The lincoln pulls a trailer just fine and this tandem pulls easier than the single axle trailer. The single axle weighs around 500 lbs. Plus the car rides good handles good gets good gas milage (24 - 25 highway 16 - 20 pulling trailer) and has as much or more power than most Pickups.

That is a nice trailer and it only weighs between 850 & 900 lbs.! Was this from the same company who made your last one? I like how you had the company strageically place the tie downs of where the tractors would go on the trailer.

;)Very nice Maynard!! Was it made by the same folks that made your first one? I noticed the fold up gate, and remember you telling of the savings in pulling it that way. Joe

Joe & Nick Yes it was made by the same company that made my other one. High Country Aluminum Products, LLC http://www.highcountryaluminum.com/ The gate is not hinged the same as the other one but I guess it will do for now.

I just looked on their website and there is a dealer 10 miles away. I'll have too look into them. Interestingly enough they are located almost next door where my B-110 was bought new, and they haven't been at that location in 35 years.

Nicely layed out, some experience went into that. I like the rubber straps on the side rails, I never thought of that method. My steele open pit car trailer weighs in at close to 1200#, so there is quite a weight savings in the alum.. That would make a big diferance in pay load.
