4041: New member and Air filter part number?

Recommended Posts

rodon
Hello. I am new as of today. I have been seaching out information on the 4041. I acquired a 4041 Simplicity with a house I just bought. I am currently fixing an oil leak problem. I also noticed I need a new engine air filter. I am having trouble finding this part number. Anyone have that part number handy? It looks like the engine is Onan and local Simplicity cannot help me much with those parts. I am thinking TSC but need to know what to look for. Looks like the leak is my Oil Light Sensor. Will get a new one in the morning. Please Go easy on the new Simplicity owner.

Try using the search feature. I remember someone posted alternatives for several consumable parts within the last few weeks. Other identical or very similar tractors include the AC 620 and 616, the 720 Pow'rmax and Simplicity 4040. There are also connections to the Simplicity technical publications where you can download the manuals and check out the various fittings, plugs etc.

Everyone here rocks. Tomorrow I will make a list of all the manuals I have. I have a bunch of originals. I will list them and see if anyone needs them scanned and uploaded. I have a rear blade, rake, rotary mower, and front blade in addition to others including a 9020 manual as well.

WELCOME!! IF the oil sending unit has a leak, MAKE SURE you don't have any oil on the cylinders & the cooling fins aren't packed with dirt. Usually, they don't seize in this condition. They DO overheat in a MAJOR way & 'cook' the rings, seals & valve guides. If you DO have 'packing' going on although it's a pain, pull the motor & powerwash. You'll be happy 'cause your motor is! LOL........ Anyway, Enjoy the site! Question? Ask Away!!! JP

Word of Advice
Stay away from FRAM FILTERS for the oil and transmission filters for these tractors They can cause a lot of headaches Fram's one size fits most cheap filters do not work good on these applications.
