Identifying Simplicity Power STeering? part

Went to a auction today of a long time AC/Agco and Simplicity dealer. Picked up a few goodies for my own use and Ebay. Got a part here that I need to confirm what it is exactly and what its for. Part looks like a Power steering unit. Tag reads Char Lynn # 217-1059-002 1235 Eaton Fluid power There was a invoice on top that I think went with it but am not completely sure. It reads Simplicity 1718832 Generator-torque List price $424.54 Has input and output shafts about 7/8" dia with drilled holes and woodruff keys on both. # inlets for hydraulic hoses: IN OUt and Aux. Also got what looksd like it could be a CArb for a Briggs vanguard v Twin. Briggs part # 807936 9208 on the box and 807930 stamped on the carb body itself. Both pieces appear to be brand new. Any ideas? or where to look anyhow?

That is used in Mfg # 1693478 Power Steering Kit for DLX/1700/2700 series garden tractors. I have one that I am thinking about using for power steering on a PowrMax tractor. Haven't yet figured out what hydraulic pressure is appropriate and whether the PowrMax has enough hydro capacity to use for power steering.

Thanks Carl, I concurr. Just found freference to the part in my Prestige repair manual. It should sell pretty well on Ebay as the design could be integrated into a number of applcations I would think.
