firefoxz1 4 Posted June 26, 2005 Well here's the deck I've been working on for my 7012H. I tore it down for repair but what I found was more than I had thought when I ordered parts last fall so I decided while I waited for more parts I'd clean it up and paint it. Well it turned into sandblasting and cleaning everything along with new bolts so I hope it mows as good as it looks. Oh well, at least the paint will have more time to dry.

HubbardRA 19 Posted June 27, 2005 I did a mower deck like that last summer. I decided to leave the cover plates off, since there was a lot of rust underneath from grass and dirt trapped inside. Now I can easily remove the residue and keep that area dry to prevent further rusting.

hdrhdr 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Nice job on the deck!! I can attest, they can take alot of time and $$$ to rebuild and with my experience on rebuilding mine, they do cut as good as they look. I have about $400 in mine with all new bearing, bolts, blades, belt, nuts, pins, primer and paint and the pictures of the rebuild on the shag carpet??? I like your shop!!! firefoxz1 4 Posted June 28, 2005 Thanks to all for responding I don't have a shop :(. I work outside, I just had the parts inside till all was finished enough for reassembly. New Parts List: All the rear rollers and the bar, Bearings, Center shaft, Top pulley Hub, Blades, Bushings in the adjusting arms, new bolts (almost all), and there will be a new belt and idler pulley when they come. Also modified the adjusting arm assemblies, welded washers on the arms so the sleeve has something flat and smooth to butt against, and welded bolts to the backend of the pivot block and turn them around so I could fasten them in securly which also makes the assy's straighter up and down.
