Deutz Vanguard to a swather

Funny you should mention that...i was thinking about that today...Got a Vanguard last week and thought it would do that quite well...

I don't understand what you're talking about. What's a swather, and why would you want one? Personally, I like "mowing" with my Vanguard! I just wish mine had the stake sides and not the dump body.... I also wish it had a shorter rear end with a single wheel. I'm always banging the back end on stuff. That's why I took the dump bed off.

The mini swather wouldn't work from the back unless you drove it backards. The volenteers would drop off kinna quick. a 30" mini swather? Prolly wouldn't want a belt drive in that dry stuff chain drive for the canvas, hydro for the Sickle and bike pedals for the ferris wheel :) Swathers cut via a sickle bar and cause the crop to fall onto a piece of canvas that pulls the crop to one side so the stems are all pointed in the same direction.
