Pulley kit for 314 Landlord

I am trying to find a pulley kit no.238 for my 314 Landlord. According to all the Simplicity dealers I have talked to cannot find a good part # or listing for the pulley kit. The pulley kit is so I can reduce the ground speed of the tractor when I am using rototiller, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Kraig

That pulley kit contained only a larger transmission pulley and the corresponding longer drive belt. The 700s and 725s used a 10" speed reduction pulley, while the 10HP tractors used an 8" pulley. I'm not sure which one is in the 990238 kit you mention. I do know that a 10" pulley makes the tractor move VERY slow. I tried one on my 2012 with loader. I'd recommend you just find an aftermarket 8" pulley and try it, for your 9HP machine....

I have 2 tractors eqipped with the 10" reduction pulley, 1 is a 9hp LL and the other is a 2110. I like the slowness due to my relatively small yard. 3rd gear with the reduction (pulley) is closer to 1st without the reduction. So now I use 3rd gear instead of 1st for most of my work and for tilling 1st is just right. Watch e-bay closely as they come up from time to time. Also, a (newer) tiller drive pulley is just slightly larger than the 8" but smaller than the 10", though the belt for the 10" pulley tends to be on the loose side. Good luck!

The 990238 low speed belt & pulley kit came with a 10" pulley, part #154418 and belt, part #155004 (Dayco L549).
