swolf Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I picked up a Wards, Garden Mark, Squire 9. (MFG# SIM 990309)I went to the cross reference table and found SIM 990308 = A/C, B-10. Can I assume that the SIM 09 = A/C B-10 also? I found a manual for the B110. Are there any similarities between the B110 and the B 10? Lastly are the Landlord and the B 10 the same model? Thanks for any help. Great site. Steve
Kent Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 The 9HP Garden Mark Squire is the same as a 9 HP Simplicity Landlord MFR# 990314 (manual start) or 990304 (electric start), and the corresponding Allis-Chalmers is an "early B-10" Product #2025041 (electric start) or 2025042 (manual start). These were made in 1963-64 timeframe. The Allis B-110 is a newer style tractor, made in 1967-1968 timeframe with minor differences in a lot of places (steering, front axle, PTO, etc), in addition to the apparent sheetmetal and seat. I'd suggest you download the Simplicity manuals for the 990314 or 990304, since they're free, and the only differences between them and the Wards would be decals, paint color and perhaps the seat. Everything else would be the same -- other than the fact that Wards came with their own brand of tires, which isn't an issue.
