Arbor Shafts

Does anyone know when the arbor shafts were changed from using a ring to a clip (1657528)? The reason I ask is because the right lower arbor bearing on my deck was completely disintergrated. I replaced all the bearings and found the center and left shafts were the old style while the right was the new style. Apparently the right side had been changed before, and I'm wondering if there is a reason why the right side should have problems.

Hi, What model? What deck? Usually the discharge side bearings wear out the fastest, they get the most abuse. Often your blades will wear out more evenly if you rotate them like tires when you sharpen them. Good luck, Al

Thanks for the reply Al. Tractor is a 7012H (1690352). Deck is a 42" (1690271). The deck has left discharge. It appears the right arbor had failed at least twice.
