Visited a consignment sale today and hauled home a load of Cub Cadet material. 1) Cub Original parts tractor. Newer engine, rear 3 pt lift, also wearing a original Wheel Horse set of dual wheel adaptors and wheels. Also included a deck with what looks to be brand new replacement spindle and pulley assemblies. 2) Brinly Plow for Cub with Original Cub Brinly hitch 3) Complete snowblower for the Cub Original tractor 4 Brinley disc Also got a few misc manuals, and a couple of these are what I find peculiar. There are manuals for the tractor, the blower, the under-drive, the 3 point lift, a manual for installing Kohler short blocks in the Cubs and a manual for Cub 70/100 tractors. The manuals for the 3 point lift , 70/100 tractors , and the under-drive all have dated stamps for "engineering dept" and two have additional dated stamps " Received- Test Engr. Dept." The 70 /100 manual stamp is dated Nov 15th 1963. The under-drive manual is dated Dec 20 1962. The hitch is dated Mar 3rd and 4th 1963. The two manuals with the Received Test Engr Dept stamps have the name E.L. Stevens-Test Engr. Then there is a column of persons signatures or initials down the top right side of those two manuals. What have I got here? Something interesting and possibly collectable maybe?

If I'm allowed an un-educated guess, in short yes. I would think that the 'engineering dept. stamping' and the signed manuals would be worth something to a 'Cub' collector. Just my thoughts. Gord

No , hanvnt seen one of those. I think the boys grabbed on to a bribly rear blade we came across once. It does not work to great as there is not enough weight to it and no where to hang weight.
