firefoxz1 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I finally got to pick up the 2210 I won from e-bay. After I got it home I went over it good. All new belts. A redone ingition switch set-up to solenoid (must be Simp authorized because the wire had Simplicity a part# on it). Trans and engine seem fine so far (haven't attempted to start it), new but dead battery. A fairly new Nelson muffler also. A newer style deck for cable lift with all new rollers on and bearings in it (1690501) really worth the $125 I paid right there. The only thing I can really find wrong is the BGB is really loose other than that it appears to have been maintained well mechanicly. My intentions was for parts?. I've already check the oil and it is clean and full, seems a little thin but it was in the 90's today.
toad270 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I would change the oil any ways drain the gas and put in fresh. Change the plug and gap the points and squirt a little bit of oil in the cylinder and check the compression again you might be suprised in the difference if it has a filter on it replace or bypass it but I would replace it since your not sure what is in the tank. Then give it a try.
Kent Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I hope I read the "was for parts" part of your post correctly... this is too nice a tractor to part out, IMO! Great find at that price... :D

firefoxz1 Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 I seem to be in an area where the bidding is not going so high right now. If someone finds one within 50 or so miles from me here (zip 18330) contact me and I might be able to pick it up for you and store for you to pick up at a later date. I am also watching this one to see if it will go up, if not I may bid on this one also. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7700198927&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
Kent Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I also like the looks of that "16 to 18 HP Kohler" on that one on eBay... ;)
firefoxz1 Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 Funny thing is you can see it is still a Briggs and probably the original 10hp. Advertising more HP to sell I quess.
