experiment #1 Removing old gas that has turned into varnish. I emptied all the gas and put a bottle of fuel injector/carb cleaner in it. and strapped it to the tire with a 13" bungee cord and mowed the yard. I put a pipe plug in the petcock hole and used an old piece of inner tube and hose clamp for the cap.

Interesting method for sandblasting the inside! And to heck with the neighbors!!! Mine think about the same thing about me most of the time, keeps them outta my hair, though. They are sure that the rubber walls are a fine place for me, so they stay away. I have cleaned the insides of several tanks using the sharpest rocks in my driveway dropped into the tank. If I am not in a hurry for the tank, I shake it every time I think of it, never thought about hanging it on the wheels, though. Thanks for the tip!
