MikeStephani Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I am a new member, so please bear with me... I found (and jumped on!) a power max 4041 in great condition (got it $950). It has front and rear hydraulics. I have two questions: 1. will a 7117 dozer blade fit this? and 2. is it possible to buy and add a rear PTO? Thanks for any of you helping me. Mike
Guest Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 You can buy a used rear PTO. It it is not available new.
MikeStephani Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 Thanks Mike. Any idea of where I can get one? I'm new to all of this. (I did place a wanted ad today on this site, though)
RayS Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Once in a while they show up on eBay. I sent you a PM to a guy that has a blde for your powermax.
aleman77x Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Mike - As the owner of a powermax 4040, the rear PTO is a 2000 rpm PTO (factory), most implements are 540 rpm. I would assume the PTO that you are looking for is a used factory 2000 rpm. Just check on that (other club members correct me if i am wrong :)), but 2000 rpm implements are sort of difficult to find. Also the factory hitch on the powermax is a Cat 0, most other (tractor supply, ect) are CAT 1. Just a heads up. AL

D-17_Dave Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 All the 2000rpm tillers I have seen have some sort of chain drive reduction. But keep in mind they were designed for use with this type of pto/cat-o hitch. Both work great.
