Drive belt length needed for a 608LT lawn tractor

Recommended Posts

Guest
I have recently inherited my grandfather's Allis-Chalmer's lawn tractor. The only thing left I have to do is to change the drive belt. According to the Symplicity AC cross-reference chart, an 85.3" belt is what I need. After purchasing one and attempting to put it on the tractor, I realized quickly that it is too short. Please help.

You'll need to use the MFG number to get the correct belt because that series was made for a while and used more than one belt size. You may also find the correct part number on a decal under the hood. OEM belts will work the best because they will be properly matched to your tractor - provided that nothing else has been changed.
