JR 1 Posted July 22, 2005 In my efforts to post photos to the site, I ran into the problem of my pics being too large. However all the re-sizing apps listed here on this site are geared to Windoze users, and I run Mac OS X. After a bit of Google searching, I found a simple little app that works perfectly. It's called HBImage processor, and it's from Hog Bay Software. www.hogbaysoftware.com You can try it for free, or buy it for only $9.95 (NFI, just a satisfied user). It allows you to set the file size in kb's, as well as the physical size (640x480) of the image, and even rename it. Best of all, it's all drag'n drop! HTH someone!:D
MPH 12 Posted July 23, 2005 Hey, glad to here there is another Mac user here. I resize mine in Photo shop as I down load them off the camera through I Photo
JR 1 Posted July 24, 2005 Well, supposedly you can resize in iPhoto, but all I could do with my pics was to make them larger, not shrink them down. And I couldn't set a kb or physical size. And for no more than I do with digital pics, I can't justify the expense or the complexity of Photoshop. I just needed something quick and simple, and this app fits the bill perfectly. BTW, any progress with your MTD?
MPH 12 Posted July 24, 2005 Got the MTD parkeed under the shed roof John, likely all I'll get done til next winter. Looked at one in Ft Collins Co. my brother knew of, think it was a few years older and had a 3 speed. Owner offered me the deck he got with it but too big for my suitcase. JR 1 Posted July 24, 2005 There's one of the smaller versions of these tractors (maybe 1200, has the 12" rear wheels) here in town at the local NH dealer. Been sitting there for several years now. Has a good 42" deck and a snowthrower. They offered it to me a few weeks ago for $200, but I didn't need it. All I would do with it is fix it up for resale, and I figured for $200 it wouldn't be worth it. Maybe at half that... I believe it's also a gear-drive tractor too. I could probably part it and make a few bucks, but I have this deep-seated aversion to parting out complete tractors.
BrianP 1 Posted July 27, 2005 Thanks for the tip JR. Glad to find I'm not the only club member who uses a Mac. I've used Graphic Converter with OS X on my Macs and it does just fine. Resizing and re-naming are a snap. It's also much less involved to use than Photoshop. Hopefully I'll get some pictures of my fleet up on the site with this information.
