6216 trans

I recently picked up a 6216 with a bad trans it skips reel bad it has the vari speed and is three speed can this be fixed or do i need a new one ???

It may be just one of the two drive belts has a chunk missing.

I wish it was that easy but i checked the belts .It seems when in neutral and you push it will clunk and when running it will not move unless you push it a little then it will catch and let go .I have tore into some 4211S trannys but not one like this is there any keys that go bad in trans or a place to get parts etc. tried to donwload pdf on this but it timed out.

I have a 6216 and I had to replace the tranny with a good used one. Mine started doing something like what you described.

how much did you pay for the used trans
