Chris727 1,912 Posted August 3, 2005 Have you comsidered rebuilding the generator? There are many replacement parts available. Search on ebay for starter generators. There are several places that sell new aftermarket parts or whole new generators.

jbeglide 0 Posted August 9, 2005 I finally checked out Northland Rebuilding, in Dalton MN, 218-589-7445(my home town). Jerry Fietek was able to order a brand new one for me, as the armature was shot. This shop specializes in starters, alt. & alt rebuilding!!-Jeff
Vinnie_A 3 Posted August 10, 2005 Jeff, Just wondering what is the cost of a new starter generator? Thanks, Vinnie
jbeglide 0 Posted August 18, 2005 I paid $125.00 and had to make a longer spacer & support brkt. The body was longer due to ball bearing instead of bushing in end cap.-Berge
