Older tiller on newer tractor?

Having hardly any experience with tractors newer than mid 1970s,does anyone know if a (mid seventys)1690039 36" tiller will fit a 1998 Simplicity Sovereign?

Mack you should have no problem using it at all, however you will need to get an idler kit. this kit is a pulley that routes the tiller drive belt away from the tranny filter. I dont have the part number of the kit right now but i will look when i get home. john
