HubbardRA Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 The biggest engine you can fit in there! More fun that way. Pictures, Dan, pictures! You know the rules.
dirtsaver Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Welcome back Dan! Don't know about engine size but I faintly remember a two seater model sitting at the IH dealer in Madison Indiana around 1971. I figured it was a trade-in and man I really wanted that thing.
wilm169 Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 The engine look like a snowmobile engine. Craig in ohio had one in peices, but most of it ws there.
rokon2813 Posted August 13, 2005 Author Posted August 13, 2005 No engine, no tires, it'll need new bearings and chains, but what they hey for 20 bucks :D As soon as I brought it home, I called my brother in law, and told him to watch for a cheap single cylinder free-air sled engine for me. 2 days later he called back and told me to come get my running 340 rotax, from a benefit auction. $14 I guess no matter what they cost, I can afford 6 wheels for it. :D:D:D:D
Tom_Byrne Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 A guy I have not seen in a few years had one- He keeps a house here in the Dover area but now basically lives in New York state. He had put a 750cc motorcycle engine in his, I believe. He was going to use around a motocross track his club owned near his house. A good friend of his works where I work, I'll have to ask him and post again.
goatfarmer Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 I'm thinking a JLO snowmobile engine or similar was probably dtandard.
