headlights ?

anyone have any suggestions,darkness is coming earlier! late nights at work force me to cutthe grass as late as 8 pm currently.i have 96 soveriegn and the lights are just one little dim spot about 5 feet in front.

You may be able to find replacement bulbs that are halogen -- which would be about 3 times brighter....

i think they are just automotive bulbs for reverse lights.brighter might not be better(i will try them anyway)the lens is the problem -not a great beam pattern. any after market kits?

My point was that you can get halogen replacements for normal taillight bulbs -- the danger is that they might get hot enough to melt the plast lens....

I also have a newer sovereign style Agco-Allis 918H and I would agree that the factory bulbs are worthless. I found 50 watt bulbs with the same base at an auto parts store and they are great, these bulbs are designed for driving lights. So far the lens have held up to the heat, have used them for 2 years now.
