maxtorman1234 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I picked up the tractors today, another guy made an offer for $350 each, so thats what we gave him. Turns out i was wrong, one was a b110:) and the other was a Big Ten:D:D. I've been looking for one for some time now. Its in nice shape. Both have decks, could use some welding but pretty solid. After some fooling around i got the B110 to spark and it runs good. Carb could use some adjusting though. I cant beleive it dosent leak I cut the grass with it, and it cuts real nice, I actually dont really mind that briggs, but the belt did fly off the deck 2 times while i was cutting, and the pulleys were too hot to put it back on. [:0]. It will go on the second pull with the rope:D. I'll have to get some help on the other briggs, it kinda putts along. It misseds badly and runs real ritch, and its hard to start. Also, the carb dosent drip, it's more like a river. I'll have to look at that soon. Anyways, heres the pictures. toad270 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 NICE score they look like nice tractors. that is an early B-110 i have one just like it with the seat hinge that swivels. not sure about the extra part.
tanman722001 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 They are some nice tractor you got.Looks to be in very good orginial shape.Tony
Guest Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Those are excellent original condition tractors! Congrats. I only have one as nice, otherwise the rest are restorations.
D-17_Dave Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 The 110's decent but the Big Ten's in great shape. I don't know what the shield is for right off. I'll have to study on that one. It doesn't look like anythnig I've seen on the round or flat hooded tractors I've had.
MDB Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Another Convert to FDTs and Briggs.....:D:D:D Nice haul there Graham, i think you will like them.
dirtsaver Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Real nice Graham. The Big Ten looks far better than mine. I'm a fan of those round hoods!
Chris727 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Nice tractors! I hope you will be happy with them. The B110 looks nice but the BIG TEN looks excellent. I would think if you painted the wheels, and waxed the body, you'd have a nearly new looking tractor. I think the extra part is some type of a carb sheild possibly for use in winter weather.
PhanDad Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Good finds. They should serve you well. Enjoy the Briggs's!
Killer_A-C Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I think you done well. That Big Ten is as nice an original you will find. Those are for sure keepers,Matt. I have that rear hitch for your Big Ten if you havnt found one.
MPH Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Couple real nice scores Graham. Welcome to the cast iron Briggs world mounted in a FDT
