wasmeneh Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I think I heard that the Craftsman Z model (44" Zero turn) was made by Simplicity. Is that true? If so has any body got one? Comments? Al have you tried one out? Thanks Mike
rs07 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 You heard correct. The Craftsman "Z" is infact built by Simplicity. However it is pretty different than the Simplicity "Z"'s. They actually mixed and matched parts from previous Simplicity models to build the Craftsman version. I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that the Simplicity dealers do not stock the parts or provide the warranty work for the Craftsman "Z"'s. For warranty work you have to go to Sears.
dirtsaver Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Bob you are correct that we do not stock parts or perform warranty repairs for those units even though they are made by Simplicity with excess Simplicity parts. After looking at one in the Madison In. Sears store I give them 5 years before they fall apart!
