Thanks to several people for three point hitch info for my tractor. My next question(s) is whether the three point hitch allows this tractor to be mated up with a small backhoe. I see plenty of makers of backhoes that seem to be saying they will work on compact tractors with a three point hitch. But I also don't think it is quite that easy with a Simplicity. So where's the hitch?

NO, its an aluminum peerless transaxel case. And you don't want a backhoe on a compact tractor without a subframe. I've seen one 720 with a backhoe. Buy the little massey for 16K

"will work on compact tractors" First off, a Sunstar is not a "Compact Tractor", it is a "Garden Tractor". Those backhoes you speak of are cat. 1, and as Ambler says, even on those larger tractors they require a sub frame. That said, there are a few backhoes around that are cat. 0, which is the size on the Sunstar.
