driveshaft spacers

Recommended Posts

I made a post not too long ago, and of course I can't find it, about by bevel gear box and driveshaft. It's a '64 Simp. Landlord 314 w/ a 23D. Someone (I think it was Nick) mentioned something about adding spacers to the replacement fiber disks. Are these spacers for the disks or for the bolts? Hope to do the job tomorrow Thanks. --Jim

heres a link to lanlord 314 parts manual http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_1319_01_LL_S.pdf go to page 44 in the left hand column and you can zoom in on how they go. make sure to put the rounded edge of the washers against the fiber disk so they dont cut into it. the spacers replace the area that would be taken up by the pulley for hydro lift.
