6116/6118/6216/6218 choke cable

Hi Can anyone tell me or send me a picture of how the choke cable is attached for the 16/18hp engines. I'm putting an 18hp on my 6100 series and need to add a choke cable. Need to know where to make the hole on the right side of the dash. Thanks in advance !! Dave wrighthasche@copper.net

#1) Take the steering wheel off. #2) Loosen the front nuts/bolts that clamp the plastic halves of the dash tower together. #3) Remove the two bolts in the dash face holding the plastic tower halves together. #4) Lift the top half of the plastic tower up. Shouldnt need to completely remove it. #5 You should see on the bracket on top of the lower plastic half ( just belowe where the Keyswitch as) a hole in the metal bracket.Thats where the facory choke cable is placed. You can put your cable there and all you need to do is cut the plastic away in the upper half of the dash tower that was covering the hole in the bracket.

I did the same with my 808. Had to add the choke cable...Works just like Sam said!
