What's the cubic inches and horsepower on the Briggs in my 3416H? Will it fit in place of a K-301, or is it too wide?

If original (check the engine model no. below carb near frame) it should be 326431 indicating 32.6 CI and 16 HP. Not all Kohlers have the same style oil pan mounting so it depends on what you are trying to do.

I'm thinking of putting it in my CC128 to replace the 6 horse Kohler that someone had in it. The Kohler is well-ventilated! Have had no luck finding Kohlers in South Florida.

I agree with Jeff, the 16 hp B&S will fit in place of a K-301 if the kohler has the wide/large pan. If the koh bolts up to trac. from the under side of oil pan it will not work without some fabriction. BTW you won't find a Briggs with an "air cond." block! Good Choice and good luck! dlc

What I'm trying to do is replace a K-301, (small flywheel, starter-generator model) in my wide-frame Cub Cadet model 128.

Sorry - 10HP on up Cadet engines are not interchangeable with Simplicity. I have a 12 that needs rebuild that will fit your 128. E-mail me if interested.
