Seen the Panzer mini crawler on E-Bay. Was thinking could do the same with Simplicity. Would the differential axles be heavy enough? I think the Panzer has Plymouth rear end under it. Does the steering have to be done with rear brakes? Could you put disc brakes on front idler axle? Maybe D-17 would have spare Power Max to work his magic on.

I heard that.lol I've thought about this already. Unfortunatly spare powermax's aren't plentifull this fall. If I did one I'd probably do it like a 953 and drive each side w/ an independent hydraulic motor.

I saw that crawler the other day and had all kind of ideas too. My Panzer has the Plymouth rear in it but some of the earlier ones had Studebaker rears installed. What was easy about the Panzer steering on that one is they have the independent brake pedals on each side for each wheel. Just add some levers and you're on your way. It would take some clever engineering on something else but I dont have one of everything ...yet
