Update on electric fuel pump

Recommended Posts

On my previous posts on installing an electric fuel pump on my other Allis 620, I became very frustrated with the install. It was all because the Facet Posi-Flo 1.5-4 psi No. PRO 04sv will NOT work on the 620-720 and pow'rmax tractors, they do not hold thier prime and stop pumping after a few seconds. These new style pumps are the plastic cheap looking one's, not the metal cube one like I have on my other 620. I tried two of these pumps and fried the last one trying to figure out what the problem was, I am pulling power off the + side of the coil and the voltage stays at 13.48 volts when running. I am waiting for a reply from Facet. Well, I bought a Nisseki metal cube pump No. EP 40104 from E-Bay for $29.50 including shipping. This pump is made in Japan and the psi. is 2-4.5. I installed the pump and the engine started instantly and has not missed a lick. This is info for those who are interested. Thanks, Floyd P.S. The Facet pumps cost $44.00

MPH, Thanks for the reply, I also have a Purolator pump on my other 620 for the last 5 years without any problems. The Nisseki pump I put on now looks the same as the Purolator pump. Floyd
