Guest Posted September 26, 2005 Welcome. You must be cutting the lawn in the San Diego area. You definitely don't plow snow there. If you were at Big Bear, then you'd have fun with plowing. Mammoth you'd be buried in the 8' to 20' of snow fall. Maybe you want to pull out some catus :) Again welcome, don't hear of many from the left coast. Guest Posted September 27, 2005 Almost Michael. Yes, no snow but the vegetation here is mostly chaparral and dry as a bone during the summer. Anything that is green and less than 6" high I call grass but that only lasts a few months before it turns into brown grass. No native cactus here either. Do they have an implement for gophers? dratkinson 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Welcome. You could get a tiller and disc and make/maintain a large Zen sand garden. Place a few large rock "islands" around in the worked "ocean" area. Disc in some tranquil sand ocean waves. Every week you could change the location of the rock islands and direction of the wave circles and rows. :) /r David in (semi-arid) Denver
