Deutz blower belt length?

After picking up, and then attaching my blower, the belt that came with it appears to be too short. With the idler unhooked and up tight to the tractor, which would make the belt rub on the tractor anyway, I still can't get the belt onto the pulley. (On the approx' 4 inch pulley the belt is only able to come 2/3's of the way down the side of the pulley). Does anyone know what length belt should be used here? This is a Deutz 916 with the Deutz single stage blower. Thanks

The belt that you need should be part number 1666798 and is 147.1" in length. There are to slots below the cone clutch were the idler pulley goes one is for the mower deck and the other is for the snowblower. You may need to switch them around.

Thanks again for the info'. I ordered the belt and should have it the beginning of next week. Everything else looks good, so hoping that is going to take care of my needs. To be honest with you, after talking to both local-ish Sim' dealers and the local belt supplier with no luck at all, I was going to sell the whole thing. This site, and your help, is awesome!!!
