goatfarmer 817 Posted October 28, 2005 After a year's hiatus,I dug out my 2110 Landlord,to prep it for winter. I copied this idea from a 700 series Landlord I saw in a tractor boneyard. It does a few things. It gives me needed weight in the back.It uses a car battery that would be sitting all winter(it's from my boat),and it eliminates the small battery, which seem to give up after a year or so. I welded the box together, and then bolted it on,so I can go back to original if I choose.Made sure the rear lift clears OK. Now I just gotta remember it's back there!8D
Roy 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Love those tail lights! Any reason for the seat pan notch above the rear lift? "Now I just gotta remember it's back there!" Sure be messy if you forget.:D:D
goatfarmer 817 Posted October 28, 2005 That notch was there when I bought it.Someone added the rear lift at one time, cause the notch is needed for clearance.
SmilinSam 3,940 Posted October 28, 2005 I made a box like that in the back for a 738 Broadmoor a long time ago. Filled it with bricks for traction. Worked pretty good blowing snow.
Alpha8D 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Great idea. Now I know what to do with the good battery that came with my parts tractor. It will keep it charged up so it doesn't freeze. And what a convenient jump mobile. I live on a lake. Hmmmm, wonder if I could rig up a 12v ice auger and a pull behind mini shanty? I could move to wherever they're bitin. Too much fun and not enough time. Can't wait til retirement!
