3212H Vickers has a leak?

Hi All, I have a 1970 3212H I got from my buddy last year. Did just enough work on it to be ready for last Winters 100 plus inches of snow that the 42 inch blower did well on. Wanted to use it this year for mowing but the mid PTO was worn out. Trying to be more ready for this Winter and did some checking of the level of the various juices and found the Vickers was almost empty. Have noticed a leak under the rear axle and thought it was the axle seals but after checking the drip noticed it was not gear lube but red trans fluid. Looked over the Vickers and it looks like the leak is coming from the shaft where the hydro control linkage hooks to. Is this a common place for the Vickers to leak from? Is there a seal I can replace there or is the shaft worn out? Thanks for any help...

This will get you started. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=26986&SearchTerms=pintle It is a common place for them to leak... Mine does-and has for a long time & i don't have the time to tear it apart to fix it. Someday i will buy a newer tractor...if my buddy will ever part with his Ingersol & buy that kubota he wants
