727 leaf vac hose

The hoses on my recently acquired leaf vac unit are pretty worn. I was taking hose diameter measurements and it appears the hose is about an inch smaller at the mower deck collector, which is oval, than it is at the blower end which is round. It is 7 inch where it enters the blower. Any suggestions on where to find this odd hose? I have been in contact with Wynn Environmental who adverstises here, and is around the corner from my house, but I dont want to pay for a custom made hose.....I'm sure that would be pricy. Guess I could made a spacer? Suggestions welcome. The rear section of hose is 6", so no issues replacing it. On another note, I've been popping in on this site for the last few years. Not sure my boss would be a big fan of this site during work hours. I finally got a computer at home earlier this week, and am excited to actually spend some quality time, as this site is top notch. I will be paying dues this week....

You can get it at any Simplicity dealer or outdoor power stores. You can also get thru http://www.mcmaster.com/ and hydraulic supply houses seem to carry it as well. If you decide to join it will be the best $10.00 that you have spent.

BILL on the intake of the vac is there a adaptor or just a open hole? there should be an adaptor that slide into the grooves for the end of the hose coming from the deck to hook to.if you have this adaptor it can be modified. THIS ADAPTOR LOOK LIKE A TOP HAT WITH THE TOP CUT OUT. JJ

I don't know about the 727, but on the Landlord/Sovereign vacs, the hose from the deck to the vac (i.e. input side) is 7" in diameter and the hose from the vac to the cart (i.e. output side) is 6" in diameter....

The owners manual lists 7" hose from the deck to the blower(intake) and 6" from the blower to the cart(exhaust). So I guess although the adapter that mounts to the mower deck seems a little smaller than 7", 7" hose should work. Thanks for the ebay link, that looks perfect.

Bill, that price is about what everyone is charging for it by the foot, so it would probably be hard to find it any cheaper.
