richp 0 Posted November 10, 2005 This is an old exhaust blower we had in storage at work that I mounted on my 7016. I removed the 3 phase electric motor and made a shaft with pillow block bearings to locate the impeller. I run it off the bevel gearbox pto and have it overdriven by running the small driven pulley. This thing really spins. I have a piece of 2"i.d. reciever welded to the rear of my tractor to accept any common 2" reciever accessory. That is how I mount the blower. Roy 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Massive blower. Have you had it hooked up and tried it?
richp 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Sure have. Thing works great. It really isn't any bigger than a walk behind blower. When I really crank up the rpm's on the 16hp Briggs, it will probably blow my dog across the yard. (maybe thats a stretch)
RayS 79 Posted November 11, 2005 Looks like it would do a excellent job. Nice work and tractors you have there.
JP 0 Posted November 11, 2005 Compliments on both the blower & tractor! Looks like you'll want to be sure the kids are in the house!! LOL Do the drive belts interfere with the hydro filter?? JP
UCD 14 Posted November 11, 2005 Jp They shouldn't on Vickers Hydro.
JP 0 Posted November 11, 2005 I couldn't tell by the picture where the filter was.... Been there, done that on the filter. I remember thinking; "Hmmm, it 'should' miss the filter" LOL
RayS 79 Posted November 11, 2005 All the 7000 series that I have seen the filter was between the BGB and hydrostst. I think they but the filters on the side in the 7100 series later on as well. My 917H has it in between the BGB and Hydrostat.
