Mick14 0 Posted November 20, 2005 all i could find locally for my 725 front PTO was a 5 in. pulley,is there enough adjustment in the clutch set-up to go with the normal belt or will i need a 1in. longer belt ? is there a good way to measure for a longer belt ?thanks
MPH 12 Posted November 20, 2005 The 5 inch pulley might be too hard of pull for the 7hp. I have a 4 3/8 on mine and in 6 inches of snow its full governor in 1st gear and some clutching needed. Sandy Lake has the 4 1/4 inch pullies as of a couple days ago, got one coming with my new bearings.

MPH 12 Posted November 21, 2005 Think a 3,5 inch would slow your blower down much too work good. If you went with a bigger one on the tractor and a equally smaller one on the blower you could use the same belt. I may try that on my 'new' 42 inch as I'll be using it on the B-112 which has a 16hp briggs in it.
