MikeG 0 Posted November 21, 2005 I'm trying to install an universal electric lift on my 7016H. I can't find anything on them in the manuals other than they were available as options. I have to modify the brackets and the lift rod to make it work and was wondering if anyone had any pictures or a diagrams of the setup. Thanks,

sbussell 0 Posted November 21, 2005 On the subject of electric lifts....can anyone tell me approx. how long the cable that attaches from the lift to the mower deck should be? I have a Simp. 7117 and when I run the lift all the way up, in only lifts the deck an inch or less off the ground. Seems like it should go higher. Thanks. MikeES 454 Posted November 21, 2005 Yes the factory mower deck cables are too long! I have used a rope clamp about 1" long (it looks like an aluminum tube with a slot cut in it) and put it between the the end of the cable slug and the "c" yoke to raise it about an 1" when you connect it to the deck. It actually raises the deck a good 2" higher.
sbussell 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Thanks Mike. I'll look for one of those clamps and give it a shot.
MikeG 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Thanks Ray, thats exactly what I needed. Its hard to find things on the Simplicity site if you don't have the correct part number. Now I can start to fabricate the parts I need. Thanks
