Sovereign Snowthrower

Hi Gang- I am new to the site and hope to get some help with my snowthrower for my 1995 Sovereign. I have the 1690547 thrower for my 1692450 Sovereign. I have the correct hitch and complete thrower (bought it used) but have never hooked up a thrower on the Simplicity before. I am familiar with hooking up a plow blade, tiller and mower deck with the older 3416S machines (dad has one). Can anyone give me any guidance? Also, does the snowthrower use the rear PTO as the tiller does? Or is there another PTO pulley that I need to add? Thanks in advance-

First, on the idler (tightener) pully for the mower deck, you should be about to see that that pulley can mount on 2 tabs, the upper one is for the deck and the lower one is for the blower. I am sure someone will post pictures of it shortly. The ilder pully needs to be moved to the lower tab. This sets the correct alignment for the belt. Then the hitch for the blower hooks onto the front axle and pins into the same holes as the mower deck. Then the blower just has two pins to conenct it to the hitch. It is easiest to already have the drive belt on the blower and hitch before attaching as it is a tight fit. The backside of blower drive belt goes toward the idler pulley on the hitch and the tightner.

Here is a picture of how the belt should be routed

Hi Gang- Thank you for the replies. I must have something wrong here, here is a link to the same hitch I have: http://cgi.ebay.com/SIMPLICITY-DEUTZ-ALLIS-SNOW-BLOWER-BRACKET-HITCH_W0QQitemZ7725777139QQcategoryZ66761QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem This hitch does not seem to resemble the diagram with regards to the pulleys. Do I have the incorrect unit for my machine? I know the blower is fine, but I may have the wrong hitch according to the diagram. Any ideas?

This is the hitch you are looking for Here you want the 7100 simplicity or 900 Allis series hitch.

If you go to this web site : http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch.php and type in your model numbers, you can download the diagrams, part numbers, and manuals for your tractor & blower.

Thanks All- Well, it seems that I have wrong parts. I purchased the unit used, with the model number 1690547 stamped on the blower, and the hitch came with the unit. It matched up number wise, so I thought it would fit. Obviously, the frame attached to the blower was changed out. This frame does not have any numbers stamped on it. So, I have (2)1692239 and (1)1692041 hitch, none of which will work for me. Are there any used parts dealers out there that would take a trade in of these hitches for (2) of the 1690547 units plus cash? I am trying to setup (2) complete outfits for my Sovereign and my fathers. I already have (2) of the 36" snow throwers. Thanks,
