Simpleton7016 2 Posted December 8, 2005 What is the relationship between Simplicity and Allis Chalmers? Did Chalmers manufacturer the tractor and Simplicity market it? Just curious? For example, I have a Simplicity 7016H. Could I have gone direct to the factory in 1975 and bought an Allis Chalmers 716H?
Ronald Hribar 91 Posted December 8, 2005 From what I remember. Simplicity has always made the tractors. At first they made tractors for Allis. Then Allis bought Simplicity. Then because of Antitrust laws, Allis made their own tractor and Simplicity their own. Allis went out of busness and Simplicity remained. I think this is all on Simple Tractor Site. Yes I think you could have gone to factory and bought a 716. But I've been wrong many times

AGCO918 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Simplicty has always made Allis Chalmers equipment, other than the 300 & 400 series when the antitrust laws went into effect and Allis Chalmers made the 300 & 400 series in Lexington South Carolina.Simplicty own the rights to AGCO & Massy lawn equipment as far as i know from talking to my Dealer friends in the past. That is why the AGCO pushes. the Iseki built tractors on their website.I dont understand this at all when Simplicity makes the AGCO branded tractors & Massy tractors.Simplicity makes the best lawn & garden equipment in the bussiness on my oppion.I have owned nothing but orange and will always own Simplicity built/AGCO tractors.
