14hp vanguard

Freind has a 14hp briggs vanguard. Oil coming out flywheel side oil seal. Put in new seal with seal guard still leaks.What should he be looking for.

Check the crankshaft for side to side play. Sounds like the bearing is out. The seal could have been damaged durring instalation and the crankcase breather could be stopped up so it's building up pressure in the crankcase pushing oil out the first place it can. ie, the front seal.
